Configuring Your Upload and Download Notifications
You can configure upload and download email notifications for any vault or folder that you have access to.
For example, you can specify that you want to be notified when documents are uploaded and downloaded in a folder, or only when documents are uploaded into a folder, or only when documents are downloaded from a folder.
 
To configure upload or download notifications for a vault or folder:
1. Sign in to the SmartVault portal. For more information, see “Signing In to the SmartVault Portal” .
2. If you are in the Advanced view, browse to and select the vault or folder you want to configure notification settings for in the left tree pane.
3. If you are in the Files and Folders view, browse to and select the vault or folder that you want to configure notification settings for.
4. In the My Notification Settings for this folder area, specify whether you want to receive notifications when someone uploads a file or when someone downloads a file by selecting the appropriate check box.
Note: If you do not see the My Notifications Settings area, the account you are working in has been configured to prevent users from specifying their own notification settings. For more information, see “Specifying Account-Level Notification Preferences” .
