Copying Client Folders and Subfolders Into SmartVault
After you create client folders from email contacts, and after you create any required subfolders using client subfolder templates, copy the client folders you created into SmartVault using the SmartVault Drive.
To copy client folders and subfolders into SmartVault:
1. Map a SmartVault Drive.
Note: You only need to map a SmartVault Drive once. However, you must map a drive before you can upload documents to your SmartVault portal using your SmartVault Drive.

2. On your local computer, copy the client folder or group of client folders you want to paste into SmartVault.
Note: If you have several groups of client folders, such as a clients grouped into alphabetical vaults of folders, or clients grouped into a set of alphabetized folders, such as a Clients A-H folder, a Clients I-P folder, and a Clients Q-Z folder, copy and paste each group of folders individually.
3. Open the SmartVault Drive by completing the following steps:
a. On the Start menu, click Start > Programs > SmartVault > SmartVault Launchpad.
b. On the SmartVault Launchpad, click SmartVault Drive.
4. Browse to and select the vault or folder in SmartVault that where want to paste your client folder structure.
5. Paste the client folders into the selected vault or folder.
6. After you have copied and pasted all of your client folders into SmartVault using the SmartVault Drive, sign into the SmartVault portal and review your structure. For more information about signing in to the SmartVault portal, see
