Downgrading Your Account
If you are a SmartVault Administrator, you can downgrade your account in the SmartVault portal.
For example, you can downgrade a Professional plan to a Team plan, or a Team plan to an Individual plan in just a few clicks.
You can also remove user and client licenses you no longer need from your plan.
f you are on a monthly billing cycle, you can downgrade your plan at any time.
If you are on an annual billing cycle, you cannot downgrade your plan until you are on your last month of your annual billing cycle.
You can upgrade your plan and then downgrade, or remove, extra user licenses as long as your total full user license count does not decrease. For example, assume you have a Team plan (which includes three full access users) plus an additional two full access users that you purchased, for a total of five users. You can upgrade to Professional plan (which includes five full access users) and drop, or downgrade your two additional licenses to keep your total license count at five. However, if you want to downgrade your number of users when upgrading your plan, you must do this in a single transaction. You cannot first upgrade your Professional plan, save your changes, and then go back and try and remove your additional users you no longer need.
Note: If you want to remove extra users, clients, or guests from your account, but keep the licenses so they can be used with other users, you can do this on the
Edit Licenses dialog box in the SmartVault portal. For more information, see
“Managing User Licenses” .
