Opening the Files and Folders View from the Advanced View
If you are working in the Advanced view, you can quickly open the Files and Folder view by clicking the Open with Files and Folders View link in the right task pane.
For example, assume you are working in the Advanced view, and you share a folder called Accounting Office Locations with a guest in your account. When you share the folder Accounting Office Locations with your guest, your guest will see only the Accounting Office Locations folder in the Files and Folders view when they sign in to SmartVault. If you want to get a sense of what your guest will see in the Files and Folders view, select the Accounting Office Locations folder in the left tree pane, and then click the Open with Files and Folders View link in the right task pane. SmartVault opens a new browser window and displays the selected folder in the Files and Folders view.
Note: Your guests will only be able to see the folder that you shared with them, along with any documents in the folder. However, your guest will not be able to see the same folder hierarchy that you see in the folder hierarchy at the top of the Files and Folders view. You will see all of the folders and documents you have access to, which your guest will only see the folders and documents you have given them access to.
To open the files and folders view from the Advanced view:
1. In the Advanced view, in the left tree pane, select the vault or folder you want to view in the Files and Folders view.
2. In the right task pane, click Open with Files and Folders View.
SmartVault opens a new browser window and displays the selected folder in the Files and Folders view.
3. If you want to return to the Advanced View from the Files and Folders view, click Home or close the browser window that displays the Files and Folders view.
