Microsoft Vista and Windows 7

To map a drive on a Microsoft Vista or Windows 7 operating system:

  1. Start the SmartVault application (Start > Programs > SmartVault > SmartVault)
  2. If not signed into SmartVault, sign-in to SmartVault from the systray icon (Right click the SmartVault icon and select Sign in)
  3. Right click the SmartVault systray icon and select Map SmartVault drive from the menu
  4. In the SmartVault drive dialog, select a drive letter of your choosing, but one that is not already used
  5. Enter your SmartVault credentials in the fields available
  6. Place a check mark in the box to "Reconnect when I sign in..." (optional)
  7. Click OK

You will see the SmartVault drive mapped to your drive letter when you click on the My Computer icon.
