The SmartVault drive is a feature that allows the user to easily map a drive to their account and view their folders and documents in SmartVault via the MS Windows Explorer. The SmartVault drive is a virtual drive to your SmartVault account that you can map directly to your local computer. It is designed to give you the flexibility of adding or saving documents from your favorite applications directly to your SmartVault transaction-less or custom folders. A reasonable upload limit for uploading documents to the SmartVault drive is 100 MB at a time.
SmartVault drive uses the WebDAV client feature provided by your operating system, and as such, the newer the operating system the more robust the SmartVault drive experience. This means that using the SmartVault drive on a Windows XP machine may not have all of the functionality that you would get using a MS Windows 7 operating system. Almost any Web Dav client can be used to connect to SmartVault, provided it supports a secure connection via https protocol.
