GENERAL USER
You can print and upload files directly to SmartVault in PDF format for streamlined document management. The feature allows you to save files directly from any application that supports printing, such as Word or Excel, to your SmartVault account.
Important
Before starting, ensure you're signed in to the Connected Desktop.
Uploading and Printing Files to SmartVault
- In your application, go to File and select Save As.
- Locate the "Upload to SmartVault" Folder:
- Click Browse to open the File Explorer.

Click Documents and find the Upload to SmartVault folder.
- Ensure you're in the correct folder path: it should display as Documents > Upload to SmartVault.
- Save the Document:
- In the Save As dialog, change the Save as type to PDF.
- Click Save to confirm.
- Upload to SmartVault:
- The Upload File to SmartVault window will appear.
- In the Connected Desktop, navigate to the client folder where you want to store the file.
- Select Connected Desktop as the destination in the upload dialog, and the PDF will be uploaded to the selected folder.
