Introducing SmartRouting for CCH Axcess and Drake Tax!

We are excited to introduce SmartRouting support for CCH Axcess and Drake Tax users. With SmartRouting, you can print documents directly from your tax software, and they'll automatically route to the appropriate client folders in SmartVault. We've added global rules and mappings tailored to CCH Axcess, and Drake selected file naming formats to support seamless routing. The feature enhances workflow efficiency, making document management faster and easier

What was updated?

Plan-Based Usage Statistics Display

The Usage Statistics page now displays information based on the customer's plan type. Standard Plans no longer display the "Features" section, aligning with available plan features.

Expanded Settings and Integration Access for Standard Plan Users

Standard Plan users now have enhanced access to features and settings in the new view, providing a streamlined and user-friendly experience:

  • Access to Settings Pages in the New View: Standard Plan users can now view Usage Statistics, Activity Logs, and Configure Integrations in the new Settings view.
  • Activity Logs in New View: Standard Plan users can now access the Activity Logs link in Account Settings. This feature allows admins to view and export account-level activity in the new view.

  • DocuSign Integration in New View: Standard Plan users can now access the Integrations & Zoning page to set up and use the DocuSign integration in the new view.

Import Clients from ProConnect Tax Online (PTO) CSV Export

You can import clients into SmartVault directly from a CSV file exported from ProConnect Tax Online (PTO). The Connected Desktop Import CSV function has been updated to support this format, making it easier to create new clients while ensuring that existing client information is preserved and not overwritten.

What was fixed?

Connected Desktop: "Open in Portal" Now Redirects to the Client Details Page After Login

Resolved an issue where unauthenticated users selecting Open in Portal from the Connected Desktop were directed to the main Client Management page after logging in. With this update, users are taken directly to the Client Details page of the selected client upon logging in, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive navigation experience.

Connected Desktop: Drag-and-Drop File Stability from Connected Desktop to Web Applications

Resolved an issue where dragging and dropping a file from the Connected Desktop into specific web-based applications would result in the file being deleted from SmartVault. Now, you can drag and drop files to upload to webmail services (e.g., Yahoo Mail, Gmail) while keeping the original file in SmartVault.

Improved Load Experience on Request Docs Page for Guest Users

Resolved an issue where guest users on the Request Docs page would briefly see the message "Nothing Here" during load time, even when documents were present. A loading spinner appears until the page fully loads, and only the accurate document count message is displayed. Additionally, white space has been adjusted to ensure consistent formatting, whether requests are present or not, enhancing the overall user experience.

Shortcut Bar Functionality on Home Page for Guest Users

Resolved an issue where Guest users could not select folders or add names when creating or editing shortcuts in the Home Page shortcut bar. The shortcut functionality on the Home Page is now consistent with the Files and Folders view, allowing Guest users to add new shortcuts and assign aliases as expected.

Consistent Display of Client IDs and Custom Client Types

Client IDs and Custom Client Types now display correctly and consistently across all areas of SmartVault, including the Client Management, Archived Clients, Request Docs pages, and the Linked Clients feature.
This fix resolves issues where Client IDs were missing or showed as “undefined” and where Custom Client Types (CTQ) appeared without spaces or with extra characters. Users can now rely on accurate client information across the platform.

Incorrect Warning Message When Renaming Vaults, Folders, or Containers

Resolved an issue where an incorrect warning message would appear when renaming vaults, folders, or containers, suggesting that changing the name might affect file usability. This message is now correctly limited to cases where a file extension is altered on a file, ensuring that users only see the warning when it is relevant.

Ability to Add Multiple Clients with the Same Name

Resolved an issue where users could not add multiple clients with the same name in the Request Docs and Linked Clients features. Now, firm users can select and add multiple clients with identical names without any clients being removed from the selection.

User Agent String Correction for Acctivate Integration

Fixed an issue where an incorrect User Agent string in the SmartVault Client SDK caused Acctivate integration errors, preventing successful login and generating "InvalidUsernameOrPassword" errors. This correction ensures that Acctivate can integrate smoothly with SmartVault without mismatches in user session records.
