The Recycle Bin in SmartVault allows you to recover deleted clients, vaults, folders, and files for up to 90 days after deletion.
Recovering Folders and Files
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal

Locate the Recycle Bin:
- Navigate to the client vault that contains the deleted folders or files.
- Click the Container Properties icon

- Select the Recycle Bin tab to view deleted files and folders.

Filter by Date (Optional):
- In the Deleted within dropdown, select a time range to filter items based on when they were removed. This filter helps you narrow down your search for recently deleted files or folders.

Restore Items:
- Select the checkbox next to the file or folder you want to recover and click Restore.
- Select the checkbox next to the file or folder you want to recover and click Restore.

Verify Recovery:
- Go to the client vault to confirm the recovered files and folders are visible.
Recovering a Client Vault
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.

Access the Recycle Bin:
- In Files and Folders, click the Container Properties icon
at the account level.
- Select the Recycle Bin tab.
- In Files and Folders, click the Container Properties icon

Restore the Client Vault:
- Select the checkbox next to the client vault you want to restore and click Restore.
- Click OK to confirm.

Verify Recovery:
- The restored client vault will appear in its original location.
