Integrate Intuit ProConnect Tax Online with SmartVault to automatically route finalized tax returns and client files into SmartVault folders—eliminating manual uploads and keeping documents organized.
With this integration, you can:
- Securely transfer tax returns and supporting documents directly into the correct client folders.
- Streamline your workflow, reduce manual steps, and ensure that your files remain compliant and centralized.

Before You Begin
Before you begin, make sure that:
- You have an active SmartVault account with Admin or Account Employee access on an Accounting Plan.
- You have a valid ProConnect Tax Online account.
- Your browser allows pop-ups (required during the authorization step).
Important
The first person to connect ProConnect and SmartVault must be the ProConnect Primary Admin.
Once this initial connection is complete, other SmartVault users in your firm can connect their own accounts and use the integration.
Connect ProConnect Tax Online to SmartVault
- Log in to Intuit ProConnect Tax Online.
- From the left navigation, click All solutions.
- Locate SmartVault under the available integrations and click Connect.
- Click Authorize SmartVault.
- In Connect your accounts, click Continue.
- When prompted, sign in with your SmartVault credentials.
- Review the permission screen and click Allow to authorize access.
- Once connected, you’ll see confirmation that ProConnect is linked to SmartVault.
