Configuration Steps for Windows 8
- Right-click on Start and select Control Panel.
- In the window that opens, click View devices and printers.
- If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.-
- Or, click on Devices and Printers if available in your current Control Panel view.
- If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.-
- Right-click on SmartVault PDF Printer and click Set as default printer.
- You've completed the necessary configuration for the SmartVault PDF Printer.
Configuration Steps for Windows 7
- Click Start and type Control Panel in the Search programs and files bar.
- Click on Control Panel.
- In the window that opens, click View devices and printers.
- If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.
- Or, click on Devices and Printers if available in your current Control Panel view.
- If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.
- Right-click on SmartVault PDF Printer and click Set as default printer.
- You've completed the necessary configuration for the SmartVault PDF Printer.
Considerations
Use these steps to reassign a different printer to your default printer setting after you've finished using SmartVault to print from Windows File Explorer or your desktop. Right-click on your standard printer instead of the SmartVault PDF Printer when assigning the default setting to your usual setup.
