Setting the SmartVault PDF Printer as Your Default Printer

Configuration Steps for Windows 8

1. Right-click on Start and select Control Panel.

2. In the window that opens click View devices and printers.

  • If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.-
  • Or, click on Devices and Printers if available in your current Control Panel view.

3. Right-click on SmartVault PDF Printer and click Set as default printer.

4. You've completed the necessary configuration for the SmartVault PDF Printer.

1. Click Start and type Control Panel in the Search programs and files bar.

2. Click on Control Panel.

3. In the window that opens click View devices and printers.

  • If your Control Panel appears differently, click on View by and select Category to switch views.
  • Or, click on Devices and Printers if available in your current Control Panel view.

4. Right-click on SmartVault PDF Printer and click Set as default printer.

4. You've completed the necessary configuration for the SmartVault PDF Printer.

Considerations

Use these steps to reassign a different printer to your default printer setting after you've finished using SmartVault to print from Windows File Explorer or your desktop. Right click on your normal printer instead of the SmartVault PDF Printer when assigning the default setting to your usual setup.
