  1. Access the Diagnostic Tool: The diagnostic tool can help determine whether your drive settings are optimized. Here's how:
    • Disconnect Your Drive: First, disconnect the SmartVault Drive. Right-click the SmartVault icon in the system tray and select Disconnect.
    • Reconnect and Access the Tool: Right-click the SmartVault icon again and choose Map SmartVault Drive. SmartVault will prompt you with a Correct button if there's an issue. Click it to open the diagnostic tool.

  2. Review and Adjust Settings: Upon clicking Correct, you'll see a list of settings with their current statuses. Ideally, all statuses should display as "OK," indicating optimal settings.

    • Modify Settings as Needed: If any settings are flagged, check the corresponding boxes to apply fixes. These adjustments ensure your mapped drive is configured correctly for best performance.
    • Confirm Changes: Click OK after reviewing to save your adjustments.
  3. Final Step: The final step is to fine-tune your settings:
    • Reconnect Your Drive: Assign a drive letter, enter your SmartVault credentials, and connect your drive. This step should complete the optimization process.
    • Still Facing Issues? If the problem persists after running the diagnostic tool, consider resetting your system before attempting to map your drive again.
