Changing the Client Name

  1. Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
  2. From the Dashboard, click Clients.
  3. Click the search icon to search for the client.


    If you are using the List View, continue to the next step. If you are using the V-Card view, skip to step 5.

  4. In the List View, click the client's name to edit the client. Then skip to step 6.
  5. In the V-Card View, click the Pencil Icon to edit the client.
  6. Edit the client's name or company name, and then click the save icon.

Redistributing Clients

After the client is saved, you must redistribute them to list your clients in alphabetical order in the Client Portal.

  1. Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
  2. In the Dashboard, click on the Files and Folders icon.
  3. From the left-hand column, click Clients.
  4. Click the Container Properties icon.


    If you have your View Preferences set to "2020 New View", visit the section Item Properties of Navigating the New Files and Folders View to learn how to access the client's vault properties.

  5. Click Redistribute Clients.
  6. Click Submit Redistribute Request.
