Auditing document access is crucial for meeting security and compliance guidelines. The SmartVault Activity Log tracks changes to access settings and activities like uploading, downloading, deleting, or modifying folders, vaults, or documents. You can view and export Activity Logs for your account and vaults.
Viewing Activity Logs for Your Account
To view a log of all events in your account:
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
- Click your initials at the top of your account Home page.
- Click Settings.
- Go to Account Settings > Manage Account, and click Activity Log.
- Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the page to navigate through the Activity Logs.
- To filter the data by a date range, click the Date Filter .
- To filter the data by license type, click .
- To export the activity log, click .
- To select the columns of the activity log you want to view, click .
Notes
- The data returned on-screen will cover only the last 90 days.
- If you select a date range exceeding 90 days, you can export the Activity Log to a CSV file. Click Export to CSV in the dialog to proceed.
- For data older than seven years from the current date, you must create a support request to have the support team produce the CSV file.
Viewing Activity Logs for Your Vaults and Folders
To view the Activity Log of a Vault or Folder in the SmartVault Portal:
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
- Select View Files and Folders in the navigation menu.
- Go to the vault or folder whose Activity Log you want to view. Click Actions and select Properties.
- Click the Activity Log tab.
- Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the page to navigate through the Activity Logs.
- To filter the data by a date range, click the Date Filter .
- To filter the data by license type, click .
- To export the activity log, click .
- To select the columns of the activity log you want to view, click .
