Overview
If Outlook disables the SmartVault plug-in to improve performance, Outlook will not reload it unless the registry key is fixed or the add-in is completely re-installed.
Resolving This Issue
If Outlook keeps deactivating the add-in, we recommend you install the new Outlook plug-in.
If it doesn’t solve the issue, do the following:
Note
Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows to correct them. Ensure you make a backup of your registry before attempting any changes. Do not edit the Windows registry unless you are confident about doing so.
- Open your Registry Editor (run regedit.exe) and locate the following registry entries:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Svault.Widgets.SVOutlook
Note
For Windows 10 users, in the search box on the taskbar, type Regedit.
- Double-click on LoadBehavior and change the value to 3. This sets it always to enable.
- Open Outlook. The add-in should now load automatically at startup.
