With SmartVault, you can easily access past versions of your documents. This feature is particularly helpful if a recent file update didn't go as planned or you encounter a document compromised by malware. You can safely recover and download previous versions directly from the SmartVault Portal, bypassing the risk to your local system.
To use version history:
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
- Select View Files and Folders from the navigation sidebar.
- Navigate to the folder with the document you need.

Accessing Version History through Document Properties:
- Click Actions next to the document and select Properties.
- Click the Version History tab.
- Click the document name with the version date of your choice to download it.

Accessing Version History through Document Preview:
- Click the document name to open the preview.
- Click the View version history link on the Details pane.
- In Version history, click Download next to the document with the version date of your choice to download it.
- The downloaded file should appear in your default download location.
Always ensure you're downloading the intended version date before proceeding. This feature ensures you can manage and recover your documents efficiently.
