With Connected Desktop, you can easily transfer files from SmartVault directly to your desktop. This method achieves the same result as clicking the Save button in the Document View toolbar and selecting your computer's desktop as the save location. When dealing with confidential documents, be aware that the copies placed on your desktop are not encrypted.
To send a file to your Desktop:
- Open the Connected Desktop and find the file you want to send to your desktop.
- Right-click on the file, hover your cursor over the Send to option and select Desktop.
- Check your desktop for the file. It should appear in the next available space. Repeat the steps if you don't see the file.
