You can quickly find files or folders across all your clients using the Global Find tool in SmartVault Connected Desktop. As you search, the results appear one by one in the Document View pane, making it easy to locate exactly what you need.

Search for a File or Folder

1. Open the Connected Desktop.
2. In the menu bar at the top, click Edit, then select Find.
   
   The Find File dialog box opens.
   
3. Choose what you want to search:
   • Match file names
   • Match folder names
   • You can select either option or both, depending on what you're looking for.
4. Enter the text you want to search for, then click Find Next.
   
5. The Find File dialog displays the total number of matches found.
   • Click Find Next to move to the next match.
   • Click Find Previous to return to the previous match.
6. When you find the file or folder you need, click Cancel to close the search window and continue working in the Document View pane.
