Resolving the "CodeBase" Error


You may come across an error when printing to SmartVault from LaCerte or ProSeries that says CodeBase Error. This article will explain what to do to resolve the issue. 

SmartVault installation cannot fix this type of error as it does not have to do with the SmartVault installation itself. You can attempt to uninstall SmartVault first and then reinstall SmartVault to resolve the issue. However, in our experience, we have found that uninstalling LaCerte or ProSeries and then reinstalling it will resolve the issue. 

If the issue persists after attempting to uninstall and reinstall both programs, contact Support.

Resolving This Error

  1. Uninstall LaCerte or ProSeries.
  2. Reinstall LaCerte or ProSeries.
  3. Open SmartVault.
  4. Grant access if needed.
  5. Open LaCerte or ProSeries and try to print as normal.
