This article offers a comprehensive guide on purchasing more Envelopes and Knowledge-Based Authentications (KBAs) for your SmartVault and DocuSign accounts. You can look at the benefits and uses of DocuSign Envelopes and KBAs to enhance the security of your e-signature transactions.
Each document requiring a signature consumes one envelope. An envelope may or may not use KBA signature requests. Multiple KBAs can be consumed within a single envelope. For instance, when requesting signatures from both spouses on their 8879 or e-file authorization form, you could effectively consume one envelope and two KBA signatures from your account.
Important
- You must be an Account Administrator to purchase Envelopes and KBAs.
- You must have created and integrated a DocuSign account through SmartVault.
