Uninstalling and Reinstalling SmartVault


Use these instructions if you ever need to:

  • Uninstall the SmartVault Desktop client completely
  • Install the SmartVault Desktop Client on a new machine

Uninstalling SmartVault

  1. Close QuickBooks and ext SmartVault by right-clicking on the SmartVault icon in the system tray and selecting Exit.
  2. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features).
  3. Select SmartVault in the list and click Uninstall or Remove.
  4. Follow the prompts to uninstall SmartVault.

Reinstalling SmartVault

  1. Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
  2. In the right task pane, under SmartVault Apps, click Microsoft Windows.
  3. Follow the prompts to download and run the installation package.
  4. Complete the Installation Wizard.
