Editing a Client or Company Name

Editing Client Information

To change a client's name or company name in SmartVault:

  1. Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
  2. From the Dashboard, click the Clients icon. 
  3. Click the search icon to search for the client who's name or company name you wish to change.
  4. If you are using the List View, continue to the next step. If you are using the V-Card view, skip to step 6.
  5. In the List View, click the client's name to edit the client. Then go to step 7. 
  6. In the V-Card View, click the pencil icon to edit the client.
  7. Edit the client's first name, last name, or company name. Then click the save icon in the top left corner.

Redistributing the Updated Client

After changing client information, you must redistribute your changed client(s) to reorder your client list in alphabetical order in the Client Portal.

  1. From the Dashboard, click the Files and Folders icon.
  2. In the left-hand column, click the Clients container.
  3. Click on the container properties icon.
  4. Click the Redistribute Clients tab.
  5. click Submit Redistribute Request
