Applying Custom Branding to Your SmartVault Portal

You can change the branding of your SmartVault Portal by adding your logo and customizing the look and feel of your subdomain, sign-in page, header, color schemes, and emails.

Customizing SmartVault Portal Branding

  Important

To apply custom branding, you must specify a subdomain name.

  1. Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
  2. Click the initials at the top right corner of the page, and then select Settings.
  3. Under Manage Portal Styling, click Custom Branding.
  4. Make your desired changes, as instructed below, and then click Save

  Note

To reset the SmartVault Portal back to the original settings, click Restore Defaults.

Customizing Your Subdomain

You must specify a subdomain name for your custom-branded portal for user access. By default, your subdomain is set to my.smartvault.com, but you can replace it with a subdomain of your choice. For example, a subdomain for EZ Taxes could be eztaxes.smartvault.com.

To add a subdomain, enter your subdomain in the text box and click Add.

To remove a subdomain, click Remove

Customizing Your Sign-In Page

For a more customized experience, you can change what your users see when they sign into your SmartVault Portal, including the sign-in text, background, text, and link colors.

To change the text on the Sign In page:

  1. Enter a new login page title in the Header Text field. The maximum number of characters is 20.
  2. Enter a brief message or instructions in the Body Text field. The maximum number of characters is 45.

Changing Background, Text, and Link Colors

Enter the color codes in the appropriate fields for the elements you want to change. You can also select a color from the color picker.

If you need to find the colors used on your (or any) website, you can use a tool like ColorZilla for FirefoxColorZilla to identify the exact color codes.

Changing the Header Logo in your SmartVault Portal

By default, the SmartVault log displays in the top left corner of the SmartVault Portal. You can, however, replace it with your own branded logo and add a custom background color.

  Note

Your logo must be a .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .tif, or .tiff file, and be no larger than 340 px in width and 60 px in height.

To upload your logo to the SmartVault Portal:

  1. Click Choose File, and then locate your logo on your local computer.
  2. Click Upload

To change the masthead background color, enter a HEX color code in the Masthead Background Color field.

Customizing your Outgoing Email Messages

You can also change the settings for the outgoing email messages sent from your SmartVault Portal, including the header logo and closing text message. A subdomain is required to use a custom email header logo.

To change the email header logo:

  1. Click Choose File and locate your logo.
  2. Click Upload

  Note

The email logo must be a .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .tif, or .tiff file and no larger than 340 px in width and 60 px in height.

Changing the Email Closing Text (or signature)

In the Email Closing Text field, enter up to 1024 characters. You can use this field to add a signature or any additional information you want to display at the end of each message automatically.

Adding Disclosure Statement Text

In the Disclosure Statement Text field, enter your default disclosure statement, and click Load Default Disclosure. Make sure that you replace any text currently in the field.
