STANDARD PLAN USER
You can upload files up to 2GB from your computer to a folder in your account using the SmartVault Portal or the Connected Desktop.
Important Considerations
- You can also upload files by logging into the SmartVault Portal using your mobile device.
- Unsupported File Types: Be aware of the unsupported file extensions before uploading. Attempting to upload files with these extensions will result in an error.
Uploading Files Using the SmartVault Portal
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.

Navigate to the Specific Folder:
- Locate the client vault and the folder where you want to upload the file.
- Click the folder to open it.

Upload the File:
- Click Browse.
- A file explorer window will open. Select the file you want to upload and click Open.
- Click Browse.

Wait for the Upload to Complete:
- Allow the upload to finish before navigating to another folder or client vault.

Drag and Drop (Optional):
- Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the section labeled Drag files here within the folder.
Uploading Files Using the Connected Desktop
- Sign in to the Connected Desktop.

Navigate to the Specific Folder:
- Locate the client vault and the folder where you want to upload the file.
- Click the folder to open it.

Upload the File:
- Click Upload.
- A file explorer window will open. Select the file you want to upload and click Open.
- Click Upload.

Wait for the Upload to Complete:
- Allow the upload to finish before navigating to another folder or client vault.

Drag and Drop (Optional):
- You can also drag and drop the file directly into the folder.
- When hovering the file over the folder, a green arrow will appear to indicate the file is ready to upload.
