For SmartVault to update successfully, no other application instances should be running in the background. If SmartVault detects that some programs are still using it, you will see a SmartVault Client Updater window with the message:

Certain applications still utilize SmartVault, preventing the update from running. Follow the steps below to identify and close these applications so that the update can proceed.
Closing Applications Before Updating SmartVault
- When the SmartVault Client Updater window appears, it will display a list of running applications that must be closed.
- If multiple items appear on the list:
- Click one item at a time to select it.
- Click End Process to stop the selected process.
- Click one item at a time to select it.
- Repeat these steps for each application until no more items remain on the list.
- Once all processes are closed, the update process restarts.
Considerations

Access Denied Error.
- If you receive an "Access Denied" error while trying to end a process, you may not have the necessary permissions.
- In this case, contact SmartVault Support for further assistance.

- Close any unnecessary programs before starting the SmartVault update to minimize conflicts.
- If the issue persists, restart your computer and try the update again.
