Resolving the "Failed to Upload the Following Document" Error


While printing to SmartVault from Lacerte or ProSeries, you may receive the "Failed to upload the following document" error:

This error usually occurs if you have clients in Lacerte or ProSeries with the same client ID. This often happens when you use the last name as the client ID instead of a unique alpha-numeric value.

For example, you may have two clients: John Smith (Individual) and John Smith (S-Corp), each with the same client ID as Smith

Resolving This Error

To resolve this issue, change the client ID so that each client in Lacerte or ProSeries has a unique ID, and then print again.
