When opening Quickbooks, adding or modifying a transaction, you may receive the error message:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040405): qbXML components have not been installed.
This issue originates with QuickBooks, although because it relates to how addons to QuickBooks are handled, you may receive this as a SmartVault error.
