Troubleshooting: Errors Adding Employees

You may receive one of the following error messages when adding an employee.

Expected Range Error

Value does not fall within the expected range.

There may be a mistake in one of the form fields, such as a space in an email address. Check the form field highlighted in red to identify and fix the error.

User Limit Error

Adding this user would exceed the user limit for this account.

This error message means you don't have enough licenses to add another employee to your account. Add additional licenses to your account, then try adding the employee again.

Sequence Error

Sequence contains no elements.

The employee you want to add already has a guest user account. You can’t have a SmartVault user ID with more than one type of account at a time. Change the guest user license type in the SmartVault [portal or connected desktop] to make them an employee.
