The SmartVault Plugin usually appears in the Outlook Ribbon at the top after you install it. If it’s missing, you might need to expand the Outlook Ribbon. Open More Commands or change the Ribbon Layout to Classic Ribbon to see the SmartVault section.
If the SmartVault plugin disappears or you get an error message, Outlook may have automatically disabled it to make startup faster. You may need to restore the plugin or reinstall the add-in in Outlook. You can also activate the SmartVault add-in with Windows Registry Editor so Outlook stops disabling the plugin.
Warning
Only advanced users should make changes to the Windows registry. Mistakes in the Registry Editor can cause system-wide problems. Always back up your registry before attempting any changes.
