SmartRequestAI can be enabled immediately for your firm without contacting Support. If you are an Account Administrator, you can purchase bundles of SmartRequests directly from the Billing page in the SmartVault Portal.
Before You Begin
- You must be an Account Administrator to access the Billing page.
- SmartRequestAI is only available for Accounting plans.
Purchase SmartRequests
- Sign in to the SmartVault Portal.
- Click the initials in the top-right corner of the page, then select Settings.
- Go to Account Settings > Manage Billing and Payment, then click Billing.
- In SmartVault Manage Subscriptions, click the box containing your subscription information (account type, number of accounts, subscription price, guest user limit, and storage limit).
- In Subscription Details, click Edit Subscription.
- In Edit Subscription Details, click Add Addons.

In Add Addons, select SmartRequest 50 and click Add.
Note
SmartRequests can only be purchased in bundles of 50. So, if you purchase a SmartRequest 50 bundle, you'll receive 50 requests. If you purchase two bundles, you'll receive 100 requests, etc.
- Click Update Subscription to complete the purchase.
After Purchasing
Once you have purchased your SmartRequest bundles:
- Select Doc Requests from the left-hand navigation menu.
- You will see three tabs at the top of the Doc Requests dashboard:
- All Docs
- Request Docs
- SmartRequests
- Click the SmartRequests tab to begin creating and managing client questionnaires.
From here, you can immediately start sending SmartRequests, tracking client progress, and generating workpapers.
Checking Your SmartRequests Usage
You can view your purchased, used, and available SmartRequests at any time:
- Click the initials in the top-right corner of the page, then select Settings.
- Go to Account Settings > Manage Account, then click Usage Statistics.

Troubleshooting
You may not see the SmartRequests addon if:
- You are not an Account Administrator.
- Your plan type does not qualify for SmartRequests.
If you're unsure, contact SmartVault Support for assistance.
